QCE = Quantity Crude Equivalent Adults: Take 3 - 6 ml (90-180 drops) 2-3 times per week 1 time per day in a little water, on an empty stomach. Take single dose at bedtime. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products. Duration of Use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days. Cautions and Warnings: Consult a health care practitioner before use if you have a faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist. Contraindications: Do not use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face, and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics, corticosteroids or licorice root or other drugs that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have liver or gall bladder disorders, abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes, or diarrhea; if you are allergic to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot family; if you have hormone sensitive conditions such as uterine, endometrial, breast, or ovarian cancer, as well as endometriosis and uterine fibroids; if you have a protein S deficiency, as wild yam may increase the risk of thrombosis. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Known Adverse Reactions: Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms, and/or diarrhea. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
