Take steps towards healthier joints with webber naturals Joint Ease® Glucosamine Chondroitin. Joint Ease® helps relieve joint pain due to osteoarthritis, protects cartilage, and maintains joint health. The naturally sourced formula helps protect against cartilage breakdown,4 and because glucosamine and chondroitin are vital building blocks for connective tissue, it helps promote healthy cartilage.5
Cartilage is the smooth padding that keeps the bones in your joints sliding easily over one another. As you age, or as a result of injury, the cartilage in your joints wears down, causing the bones to rub against one another and leading to pain and inflammation.6 The aching joints caused by osteoarthritis interfere with quality of life, making it hard for you to do the things you love. In a trial known as the “Glucosamine/Chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT)”, the largest study of its kind, glucosamine chondroitin sulfate was shown to relieve pain in moderate to severe cases of osteoarthritis of the knee.7 By providing the right support, you may enjoy healthier joints, increased mobility, and less discomfort in all phases of life. Combined, the unique functions of glucosamine and chondroitin offer optimal benefits for healthy joints. Joint Ease® Glucosamine Chondroitin Sulfate offers both these promoters of joint health in a convenient, easy to swallow capsule.
Not only is glucosamine sulfate an effective way to help relieve aching joints, it is an excellent way to maintain joint health. Glucosamine occurs naturally in the body, and is vital for healthy cartilage and connective tissue. Essentially, glucosamine helps stimulate the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), molecules that provide the structural framework of cartilage, making it very useful for degenerative joint disease and osteoarthritis.8
As some people age, they may lose the ability to make enough glucosamine, and cartilage can lose its gel-like nature that acts as a cushion in the joint.9 Research indicates that clinically studied glucosamine helps relieve the pain the pain of osteoarthritis, and if caught before the onset of irreversible joint damage, glucosamine may protect against further deterioration.10,11 The glucosamine sulfate in webber naturals Joint Ease® is the most tested form of supplemental glucosamine, and is of premium quality, offering a full potency 500 mg of glucosamine sulfate per capsule. The sulfate portion is a carrier molecule for glucosamine that also supports rehydration of joint cartilage.
Chondroitin is also naturally found in connective tissue. It is a glycosaminoglycan (or GAG), a key factor in keeping cartilage hydrated while contributing to the tensile strength of cartilage. Chondroitin attracts water and nutrients to cartilage, which promotes joint health (not enough water in cartilage can cause dryness, pain and loss of nutrients in the joints). It also stimulates the production of key components of cartilage, while inhibiting cartilage-damaging enzymes.12 These three key functions enable chondroitin sulfate to help protect against cartilage deterioration, even promoting the health of connective tissue.13,14 Chondroitin also helps relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis.15,16 Supplementing with chondroitin will help rehydrate cartilage and is integral to the healing process.
While over-the-counter pain relievers and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) reduce pain and swelling, they can cause other unpleasant side effects. They also do nothing to support long-term joint health, allowing osteoarthritis to progress unchecked. In some studies, glucosamine chondroitin sulfate has been shown to be equivalent to NSAIDs – and often more effective – in reducing pain and improving joint performance.17,18 In fact, unlike NSAIDs and other pain relievers, glucosamine sulfate not only helps reduce pain, but may also help improve joint function.19
